Return from Emma Gorge Resort to Diggers Rest Station
The Return
For those of you joining us on this return ride to Digger’s Rest Station, some diverse vistas await us on our return. You will have your first night’s accommodation in a tented cabin at Emma Gorge Resort, and your last night’s accommodation in a bush hut or bunkhouse at Digger’s Rest Station. Over the next three days, you will have the memorable experience of riding willing and sure-footed horses through breathtaking landscapes.
Day One
After an evening in your unique accommodation at Emma Gorge Resort, we pick you up in the morning and take you to meet your horses and saddle up for three days of adventure.
Riding along the King River, we pass by gum tree lined billabongs, skirt along the base of a ridge, with views of Wild Dog Hill, and the Cockburn Ranges. Riding over rolling hills, we come to Cockatoo Camp, where the ti tree country comes down to the edge of the King River. This camp is alongside a shallow billabong, perfect for an afternoon splash.
Day Two
Our route continues along the King River system, riding across sandy river flats, and pulling up at Cleanskin Creek for lunch. The afternoon takes us past an ancient boab tree, over over rises with spectacular views, then into camp near a beautiful billabong.
Day Three
Our morning ride follows a brumby pad over a low rise, and finishes up at a Duck Hole on Cockburn Creek, just off the King River. On the home stretch, we take in the famous boab Prison Tree on the bank of the King River, and finish up at the station where you’ll have a night in one of our comfortable bush huts or bunkhouse.
The price for this holiday includes one night’s accommodation at Digger’s Rest Station and one night’s accommodation at Emma Gorge Resort.
