Maggie must lead a charmed life. She had a very close call with a crocodile this wet season! Fortunately, I saw her soon after the encounter, so we were able to bring her in to the house paddock and doctor her for a while. She is all good now. It was a pleasure looking after her as she has become a very friendly mare, and happily follows me around, always after a good rub around the eyes and ears. Last year was her first real working season, with a few days of mustering and her first horse trek. She will take some settling down but she is a good-natured mare and shows promise. We are looking forward to seeing her progress this year!
