Diggers Rest Station| Woodlands from way back

This photo goes back to 1919! It’s one of Roderick’s father as a little tyke, having a go on a rather large donkey at Ord River Station. The Woodlands have been on stations in the East Kimberley for three generations. Roderick’s grandparents, Tom and Florence Woodland, were the managers of Ord River Station when this photo was taken. They moved on from Ord River to manage Moola Bulla Station for 18 years.  Roderick’s father later went on to manage Alice Downs Station, and Roderick has been the owner and manager here on Digger’s Rest Station since the 1970s.
