Another Dry Season Gone

Yet another dry season has come and gone, and this one was just about as extraordinary as the last! Since life is unpredictable, I suppose we should be used to our mercurial borders by now…

The season started off with a bang, and finished with a whisper. In May, we were busy with the Station Based Horse Riding Holidays, and  the cattle muster kept us all on our toes for the month of June through the first half of July. The tourism side of things slowed right down with the border closures, so On The Verandah was unable to hold their artists workshops. We also had numerous cancellations on our last three scheduled Station Based Horse Riding Holidays. Fortunately, our diversification paid off, with cattle prices being very good.

Here’s hoping that borders become more stable over the next several months! In the meantime, we make the most of what we can do and where we can go, and do our best to be thankful for this amazing life we are living.

We will be swinging the gate closed on this season on Monday, September 27.
