Diggers Rest Horses|Duke
Named after John Wayne because he looks like he could’ve been in a yippee movie, Duke has more than earned his keep over the years. He’s the type of horse that will carry just about anyone. He is very tolerant of beginners, and when he has someone on his back who knows what they are about he lifts his game. Duke has been on many a muster, and has the perfect temperament for cattle, keen but not too excited. The past few years he has spent a day or two on the Wyndham race track with me, accompanying the race horses to the barriers. Considering he only does it two days out of the year, he does an excellent job. He is absolutely one of our tried and true.
