Because he’s a little gem!

Quartz is the horse you want to be riding to set a good pace.  He’s our number one power walker, and probably our most sure-footed horse.  Put him and Roderick together and we all get left behind!

This little gem becomes fast friends with whoever has the pleasure of riding him. His rider should always be ready when the signal is given, as he’s quick off the mark.  And, like most all of our horses, Quartz loves working cattle.  I enjoy riding him when we’re out mustering because, nine times out of ten, he spots the cattle before I do, making the job a fair bit easier.
