We have an extraordinary population of boab trees (Adansonia gregorii) here in the East Kimberley, especially around Diggers Rest. These trees look like creatures in the landscape, each taking on a character all it’s own. Even though they drop their leaves during the dry season, shade is always guaranteed around one of reasonable girth. We often rely on the boab tree for shelter from the mid day sun when out on our horse treks.
