Travel plans can take some time, so the sooner you tackle the how and the when, the sooner you can focus on your upcoming adventure!

If you are flying to the Kimberley, Airnorth and Virgin Australia service our closest airport, Kununurra KNX airport code. Greyhound runs buses from Darwin, NT and Broome, WA, but flights that are booked in advance are often not much more than the bus!

Once you have decided you are going to give yourself the trip of a lifetime, you can make sure you get the most out of your experience by doing a few things:

• Consider your fitness level and whether or not you are up to several hours of riding every day…there’s still time to work in some aerobic activity, some stretching, or even some yoga. All of these activities are going to make your trip more enjoyable for you physically, and I dare say your horse will appreciate it as well:)
• Make time to read about your destination! There’s no shortage of books on the Kimberley. Check out our reading list.
• Travel insurance really takes the pressure off having to consider the unforeseen when you travel. It is a must, and then you can relax and just take in the journey.
• It’s always a good idea to carry copies of any important documents with you when you travel, ie travel insurance policy, credit cards, identifications.
