Having the right gear

Having the right gear makes a world of difference.  Comfort before fashion! not that the two can’t coexist:)

  • Take your jeans or jodhpurs (and the undies) for a test run before you plan on spending several days in the saddle with them.
  • Light weight long sleeve shirts help to keep the sun off and protect you from branches when we are riding in thick bush or in and out of creek beds.
  • You’ll appreciate a wide brimmed hat when you’re not on the horse.
  • Good riding boots are also a must. Make sure they are comfortable for some walking as well.
  • Another tip…two water bottles that you can use one-handed! and a 750ml bottle is a good size.

The list could go on, but this is a good start:)
